Oriental Rug Sales

Every so often you will see advertised a Going Out of Business sale for oriental rugs or Persian rugs, or an auction sale for area rugs.  An especially common format is a furniture store going out of business featuring rugs offered for liquidation–even though these furniture stores never sold such rugs to begin with!  What gives?  As it turns out, there are companies whose sole function is to go from city to city looking for venues to offer inferior or damaged rugs for sale which are tagged with inflated “original” prices those rugs NEVER sold for only to offer discounts of 60%, 70%, 80%, or 90% off those fabricated prices in order to induce someone to buy based on a misconception.  When the buyer eventually reconsiders, the seller is long gone.

I can’t count the number of times an excited buyer has come to my store seeking an independent appraisal of his buy only to leave sorely disappointed.  Only buy your fine oriental rug from an established dealer.  My family has been in the oriental rug business for 3 generations, and every handknotted rug comes with an open-ended trade-in option. Our customers in Jacksonville, Ponte Vedra, Amelia Island, and St. Augustine know we clean, repair, and service everything we sell.  Have questions?  Feel free to contact me.
